Location: ether ohnetitel gallery, Napier Street Fitzroy, Victoria, Australia
Installation by Joan Brassil. Exhibited as part of “Earwitness: Excursions in Sound” curated by Sonia Leber, 18 November - 27 December 1994. Text reprinted from Earwitness brochure with permission.

Details
At the base of a slowly eroding cliff, naked bodies make infinitesimal movements as a gesture of life melding and eroding with the landscape. The sounds of a continuous drawing using ash, sand and grit placed on the stretched skin of a drum, form an intimate and delicate “audio scroll”.
